The ARIZONA KIT CAR
CLUB, Inc. is a
non-profit corporation. There is no limit or
restriction, based on age, sex, national origin, race, color,
or religious preferences, for membership or for holding any
office in the Club. To operate a kit car, each member must
possess a valid drivers license and insurance coverage
for the vehicle.
It was founded and incorporated in 1987 by a
group of replica car enthusiasts. The club is one of the
largest organizations of hand crafted automobiles in the
country. Many have built their own cars while others have
purchased a ready-made vehicle.
The aims and objectives of the AKCC include the following:
- Promotion of, interest in, and the enjoyment of
the hobby of construction and/or operation of vehicles
classified as kit cars.
- Promotion of activities for the owners of kit
cars, such as rallies, road trips, parades, car shows, outings
and social functions.
- Assistance to others in the advancement of the
hobby through exchange of information.
- Promotion of safety in the construction and
operation of kit cars.
AKCC Committees include the
following: SAFETY to
promote safety and to educate members in safe
procedures TECHNICAL to
provide the expertise to help other members who need
assistance with their cars
to develop programs and to
plan road trips and outings to promote participation in
car shows/ralliesPARADE to
identify suitable parades and to encourage the Club's
participation MEMBERSHIP to
locate and invite kit car owners and enthusiasts into the
club
to print an informative
newsletter to be sent to members on a regular
basis

Monthly meetings are held from September through
May at various locations throughout the Phoenix metropolitan
area. Meeting dates vary. Check the Web site's
"Calendar" page for the date, time, and
location.
The owners of the kit cars and members
of AKCC are extremely
proud of their vehicles and are always pleased with the
opportunity to display them.
